So tell me more about this guy Sean...

Tired of paying rent and higher income taxes, I bought a home a couple of years ago. Frankly, after spending most of my weekends all summer painting, mowing the lawn, and doing all the other stuff involved in owning a home, I'm starting to think this home ownership thing ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Never the less, I live with my wife, 1 year old son and semi-psychotic Springer Spaniel in Red Hook, NY. It's a nice, open farm town about an hour and half north of New York City and pretty close to an Amtrak rail road stop for when I need to go see some "city folk". It's basically the middle of nowhere but where else could I afford a 3000 sq foot house and 13 acres of land?

One of the added advantages of buying in Red Hook is that I plenty of family in the area. While it's nice to see them regularly, it's even nicer to borrow their tools (ladders, painting supplies, power saws, etc) and save myself the expense of actually buying them

06/18/2009:
Going on 2+ years since I updated the ol' web site... having a 2nd kid will do that I guess. Ryan turned 3 recently and James is 7+ months now... lots of fun but they don't leave much free time for Dad.

Well, I'm off to a new job... and finally saw fit to add a new blog entry!

06/27/2007:
Hmm.... news.... let's see... as usual, it's been awhile since I updated the 'ol site. But I just made some long overdue updates to the work and home pages.

I'm 31 now which somehow seems much worse than 30 did. My son had his first b-day recently. My wife  continues to somehow put up with me. The dog continues to wish I'd actually get out of bed and take her running every morning.

Between work, family and maintaining the 13 acre "Comerford Compound" (think Waco with less religion and more beer), there aren't enough hours in the day.

Life ain't bad but I still think I'm moving to Margaritaville.
